Hi Everyone, Looks like we are "OK to go" with Stage 3 on Oct 31 at 8:59 am and plan a scheduled maintenance to last 18 hours.

Shadow of the Eternals - Stage 2 - Uncertainty Principle
The time has come for us to move to Stage 2 of Quantum Entanglement - Uncertainty Principle. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to build out a way to take things forward and we’ve hit a stage where the position and momentum of things has changed in a positive way, although right now it’s difficult to measure its full extent or certainty, we wanted to share that things are coming along positively. Whilst we have been quiet for sometime, we appreciate everyone's patience and faith in sticking with us - we are committed to making this happen. So what does all this mean? In short, we’re uncertain and don’t want to promise too much until things become more established at which point we’ll move across to Stage 3. What can we say? Significant change is coming with Stage 3 that we are cautiously optimistic about. If successful, these changes will help us move forward to our goals and away from the previous hurdles we faced as a group in the past. I know we’re being cryptic right?...

Site Update - Quantum Entanglement - Stage 1
Hi Everyone, We've just completed a major update for the Shadow of the Eternals forums and we have many new and exciting features to talk about. The focus of this update is start the process for the next evolution and direction for Shadow of the Eternals. We are not going to reveal details yet except to say that a great deal of change is coming across the board and that we're returning to our roots in many ways - i.e. returning to an episodic format is just one many changes to come. We expect this evolution to take significant time and so there won't be any announcements in the immediate future or at shows such as GDC, E3, PAX, or GamesCon.The first step in this evolution is to get the community and the site in-line with the changes to come. Currently the site costs $70/month for the server and we have spent about $1000 on upgrades and software for this update. We hope these changes clarify and improve how you and the rest of the community will contribute to the game. In the...

    I've illustrated Lovecraft's "Memory"
I just released a densely illustrated digital version of H.P. Lovecraft's "Memory". You can buy it here, for only 1$ if you share it first. It was created for a 24 hour comic challenge, so everything including the PDF is done in 24 hours straight. Everything was improvised with brush and ink, while reading the text and listening to Triptykon on my headset(The other cartoonists gave me weird looks for my ink-splashing and headbanging). ;) I've always liked Memory, and Lovecraft's other super-short stories, or prose-poems as some call them. And I think they've been under-appreciated, mostly because they don't fit into his horror stuff, nor his mythological/dreamland stuff. My long-term plan is to do a collection of 4 stories, Memory, Ex-Oblivione, What The Moon Brings, and Nyerlathotep. But that may be far of. Here's a few sample-pages. The book(Or fanzine) contains full page illustrations, and is 48 pages all together. Here's a few samples....

    Shadow of the Eternals

    Shadow of the Eternals

Shadow of the Eternals is a third-person action/adventure game steeped in psychological horror, created in collaboration with YOU!

A psychological horror game, Shadow of the Eternals is the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, being developed by the original creators of the popular and critically acclaimed classic. Featuring an eclectic cast of heroes and villains, Shadow of the Eternals will span thousands of years of history with an H.P. Lovecraft flare. Players’ perception of reality will be shattered as they try to balance the mechanics of combat, magick, and exploration as they progress through the adventure.

Community - Together let's change the world!

It has been a long and hard road for Shadow of the Eternals and its community. It was heartbreaking when the last campaign did not reach its goal and I know many of people were disappointed, as was everyone at Precursor. However, with every difficult situation there is a silver lining. The down time has allowed some great conversation with many people in the Order and allowed us to re-focus on making the right choices for the future.

There were a great many highlights in the history of Shadow of the Eternals but none stood out so much as the success of community and the Order of the Unseen. Uncompromising enthusiasm catalyzed with unbridled creativity that ushered in something I have never seen in over 25 years of being in the games industry. When I first heard “We are the Order”, it was an epiphany to me, as I realized that the Order has the potential to not only make what we are creating here better but make the process of creating games better itself. It has the potential to...

    Slumber, watcher, till the spheres,
    Six and twenty thousand years
    Have revolv'd, and I return
To the spot where now I burn.
    Other stars anon shall rise
    To the axis of the skies;
Stars that soothe and stars that bless
    With a sweet forgetfulness:
Only when my round is o'er
Shall the past disturb thy door.
