Lore-keeper. World-Builder. Dream-merchant.
Ken McCulloch is a writer, a game-designer and an artist, and uses all three of these talents like mixing paints on a canvas. With over twenty years of game development experience, Ken has fulfilled roles as 2D illustrator, animator, writer, game designer, cinematographer, 3D modeller, voice-director, art director, and content director on projects such as Fantasy Empires, Dark Legions, Gex, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, Zork: Grand Inquisitor, Too Human and Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem.
Ken believes that games are showcases for wondrous things, and is inspired by the special moments that arise within games; whether they arise from playing the game itself, achieving heroic victories or suffering heartfelt losses, or standing witness to unique occurrences. These moments connect with our sense of wonder and in the process create memories that forever stay with us.
Outside of work, Ken enjoys model-making, writing short stories and novels, drawing, painting, and reading. Ken runs a website called “Pan Spectrum Analyzer” where you can see his writing, art, and discussions about various topics related to the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres. And of course, Ken loves playing video games; primarily shooters and MMOs.
