Sean is the Tech Director at Precursor Games. Renderers, binary code, shaders, and pipelines are commonplace in Sean’s daily activities. Aspiring to leave an “awe inspiring” technical impression, Sean’s mission is to ensure Precursor Games is making the best technology choices for the gamers. Balancing quality with performance in order to deliver a perfect technical experience is Sean’s mantra.
As a twelve year industry veteran, he has focused his software engineering skills towards improving the graphics, tools and engines that drive the game development machine. Before Precursor, he plied his trade contributing to several titles including the NHL game series, Too Human, and X-Men: Destiny.
Sean has a M.Sc and B.Sc in Computer Science and is a strong proponent of education. He has since given back to the educational community as an instructor, teaching both Computer Science at Brock University and AI and Scripting at Sheridan College.
Sean is an avid hockey fan and enjoys playing hockey, as well as training for his next long distance race. Most of all, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, both of whom he feels are the most honest critics of his professional work. Sean has also been known to be an easy victim of nerd sniping but is working hard at not being so distracted by interesting mind bending problems.
